An oasis with Kali

Born to a biracial heritage of Indian and white descent, both the colonizer and the suppressed run through my veins. My Indian side is deeply rooted in Vedic and Tantra traditions. My great-grandfather was a pandit and guru, and these core values were instilled in us. My mother’s family follows the Shaivite lineage, with a touch of Krishna devotion. When I was born, a panchang was opened, and it was revealed that I was a daughter of Kali. My great-grandfather's insight was spot on.

Whether it was my mixed heritage or the influence of having Kali crowned on my head, I became a force to be reckoned with, breaking through the chains of patriarchy, shame, and suppression. By the age of 11, I was fully awakened with her Shakti (my family would say way earlier).

Though I could delve into the details, I'll save that for another time. Let's just say I was fearless, loved my feminine body, and possessed a heightened awareness, as her energy vibrated through me intensely.

No one in my family would dare teach me the teachings of Kali, and by this time, my nana had passed away with a lot of esoteric secrets.

In fact, they feared her. So my quest began, but what I didn’t realize was that as I was seeking her, she was awakening deeper within me. Yes, yantras, mantras, mudras, and kalavahana can bring on a level of ecstasy (learnt it all), but imagine having that lit feeling all the time!

Each chakra is explored through a unique blend of rituals, meditations, exercises, and somatic tantric flow,

which incorporate breath work, mudra, and mantra. This series emphasizes the harmonious integration of masculine and feminine energies, inviting participants to heal ancestral wounds, awaken true inner wisdom, and cultivate a deeper connection to the self and the universe. Through this alchemical process, individuals are empowered to manifest their visions, enhance their intuition, ignite their sensual, erotic, and wild, and embrace unconditional love and unity consciousness.

The root chakra is a masculine energy representing the four-sided yantra of our lives. It’s the foundation of all of our relationships (romantic and non-romantic). Our root chakra holds the seeded wounds of our ancestors, our belief system on money, and how we correspond to our community. Our root chakra is our sense of belonging to place, our bodies and our health. When our root chakra is balanced and clear, we feel physically vital and energized. We are in tune with the needs of our bodies and nurture and care for them with love. We are grounded, focussed and have the self-discipline required to manifest our visions on the physical plane.
